Job summary

Ochsner Health in New Orleans seeks an inventory and materials management associate to ensure timely receiving, issuing, and returning of supplies. You will monitor customer service channels, generate monthly reports, and support process improvements in a healthcare setting.

Required: high school diploma; forklift certification if Warehouse District Row location within 30 days; experience in inventory or distribution; associate degree and healthcare supply chain exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• Experience in inventory management or distribution; healthcare supply chain preferred.
• Forklift certification required if working at Warehouse District Row location within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient with computers and able to communicate clearly and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor internal/external customer service emails and phone line to maintain service levels.
• Generate and analyze monthly productivity and supply chain reports to improve efficiency.
• Ensure inventory and purchase orders are accurately received, issued, and returned.
• Train new employees on receiving and central supply duties and responsibilities.
• Resolve errors with receipts, customer orders, and par levels.
• Work to improve supply chain processes, metrics, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and address internal and external customer needs.
• Perform other related duties as required.
