Job summary

Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an experienced Materials Management professional to support the supply chain by ensuring efficient receipt, inventory, and delivery of supplies. You will generate monthly reports, resolve issues, and communicate with internal and external customers.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), prior inventory/distribution experience in healthcare, and forklift certification if applicable.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel between facilities and work a flexible schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on-call).
• Forklift certification required if working at Warehouse District Row location within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains internal and external customer service levels via email and phone.
• Generates and analyzes monthly productivity and supply chain reports.
• Ensures inventory and purchase orders are received, issued, and returned.
• Trains new employees on receiving and central supply duties.
• Resolves errors with receipts, customer orders, and par levels.
• Works to improve supply chain processes, metrics, and customer satisfaction.
• Identifies and addresses internal and external customer needs.
• Performs other related duties as required.
