Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking a Director of Corporate Strategy to guide enterprise-wide strategic planning and senior leadership recommendations.

You will lead cross-functional projects, model markets and financials, and shape growth and partnerships, including potential M&A opportunities, reporting to the VP/AVP. You will manage 3–5 associates, translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, and collaborate across CenterWell, Insurance, Technology/IT, and Finance to drive execution and long-term

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with 5+ years in corporate strategy or related function.
• Healthcare industry experience with knowledge of healthcare business models, market dynamics, competitive trends, and growth opportunities.
• Proven experience developing enterprise or business-unit strategy including competitive analysis and investment prioritization.
• Ability to structure and solve complex, ambiguous business problems using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Proven experience leading complex, consulting-style strategy engagements from problem definition to execution.
• Experience advising and influencing senior executives, including presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership or Boards.
• Proven success leading and developing high-performing teams, managing multiple priorities, and driving cross-functional initiatives to results.

Responsibilities

• Own project delivery from initial problem definition through analysis, recommendations, and execution, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Serve as a strategic partner to specific businesses and functions, shaping long-term strategy and growth priorities.
• Lead teams of 3–5 associates in market/industry analysis, competitive intelligence, benchmarking, and financial/qualitative analysis.
• Translate strategy into action by developing business cases, defining strategic initiatives, and establishing priorities and timelines.
• Partner with Corporate Development to craft strategy around potential M&A and external partnerships.
• Manage key external relationships with business partners to support strategic priorities and collaboration opportunities.
• Strengthen team capabilities by developing team members and improving operating processes and tools.
