Job summary

Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to support nursing and clinic operations in Grand Rapids, MN. The role focuses on staffing, scheduling, attendance, and payroll processes to ensure smooth patient care delivery.

You will maintain schedules, process time-off requests, monitor attendance, and reconcile payroll data. The job includes training coordination, reporting, and working with leadership to drive process improvements in a non-profit health system.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft 365; Excel competency assessment required.
• Experience with staff scheduling, timekeeping, payroll processes and collective bargaining agreements preferred.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex collective bargaining agreement provisions in staffing, scheduling, attendance and payroll decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and post clinic nursing schedules in accordance with guidelines, agreements, policies and legal requirements.
• Process and coordinate schedule changes including time-off requests and transfers.
• Maintain staffing templates/grids and address projected staffing needs to support patient care and operations.
• Communicate schedule updates and staffing changes to staff and leadership promptly.
• Monitor attendance, overtime, PTO and leaves; reconcile timecards and payroll data.
• Resolve payroll/timekeeping discrepancies with employees, managers and Payroll.
• Schedule and track required education/training records in LMS; generate reports.
• Collaborate with clinic leadership to identify staffing challenges and implement improvements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
