Job summary

Kontakt.io is seeking a Sales Engineer to join the Advisory team. You will partner with Sales, Product, and Professional Services to design solutions for health systems, demonstrate value via demos and PoCs, and build trust through deep technical knowledge across data architecture, APIs, and HL7-based integrations.

You will design Epic integration approaches and RTLS/location solutions, deliver compelling technical demos, and produce SOWs and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5 years in Solutions Engineering, Pre-sales, or similar customer-facing technical role.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities, scope solutions, build proposals, and design implementation approaches.
• Lead discovery sessions with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to uncover challenges and map them to our platform, focusing on patient flow and care operations.
• Deliver demos, solution presentations, and PoCs that connect technology to clinical and financial outcomes.
• Field deep technical questions on data architecture, APIs, security, and integrations, and provide written answers (RFPs, security questionnaires, architecture reviews).
• Design integration approaches with hospital systems like Epic and other HL7-based systems.
• Design RTLS and location-based solutions using Kontakt.io and partner infrastructure.
• Create technical documentation, statements of work (SOWs), and solution designs.
• Use AI tools to accelerate work and share findings with the team.
• Gather customer feedback to Product Management for roadmap input.
• Deliver onboarding and training for internal teams, partners, and customers.
• Travel approximately 40% for onsite visits, pilots, and go-lives.
