Job summary

HealthPartners is seeking a full-time Simulation Technician to support day-to-day operations of the Clinical Simulation Program. The role focuses on equipment management, AV systems, and facilitating simulation activities for learners under supervision.

The ideal candidate holds an associate/technical degree or diploma in a related field, plus 2 years in healthcare, with strong computer/AV skills and a valid driver’s license. Growth toward a Simulation Technology Specialist is possible.

Qualifications

• Associate/technical degree or diploma in a related field (LPN, RN, EMT, Medical Assistant, biology, medical technology).
• Two years’ experience in the medical field with familiarity in technology and AV systems.
• Must have a current and valid Driver’s License.
• Proficiency in computer use and MS Office; basic knowledge of AV equipment and software for recording and playback.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the facilitation of simulation activities and programs.
• Plan, program, test, and run scenarios with faculty/educators.
• Run simulation sessions for learners under course directors’ guidance.
• Assist with procedural learning/testing sessions.
• Operate audiovisual and simulation manikin technology during scenarios.
• Serve in standardized roles to support scenario objectives.
• Create realistic scenarios and settings using props and moulage.
• Prepare paperwork and participant materials before, during, and after class.
• Maintain preventive maintenance for internal and external customers.
• Transport equipment and supplies to off-site trainings and simulations.
• Maintain equipment daily operations and perform routine maintenance.
• Clean simulation-based equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Assist with installation and upgrades of AV hardware/software as directed.
• Maintain standardized procedural kits and archival video formats for analysis.
• Identify best practices in simulation technology and stay current with tools.
