Unitek Learning is seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to support simulation and skills labs across nursing programs. You will manage audiovisual equipment, maintain manikins, and assist faculty in delivering high-quality simulated learning experiences.

This role emphasizes hands-on setup, instruction, and technical support for instructors and students within a healthcare education environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in healthcare field preferred; paramedic, medic, EMT, emergency tech, CNA, or hospital technician required.
• 1–2 years of simulation experience in an educational setting preferred.
• CHSOS® certification preferred (required to obtain within three years on the job, if not certified on hire).
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsabilités

• Maintains current knowledge of simulation/lab equipment and operation manuals.
• Programs simulator software to model physiological responses.
• Operates computers and technical equipment for simulation scenarios.
• Maintains audio-visual and debriefing systems.
• Supports faculty and students with VR equipment and updates.
• Demonstrates proper techniques and tools during simulations.
• Provides training and technical support to instructors on lab procedures.
• Prepares and maintains lab equipment, manikins, media, and materials.
• Develops and demonstrates instructional best practices for simulators.
• Assists in developing manuals and managing lab schedules.
• Provides support for task trainers and multimedia peripherals.
