Qualifications

• Ability to operate a personal computer.
• Ability to type depending upon the position available.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between management, health care providers, and support staff to ensure communication.
• Assist in training and orientation of Patient Service Representatives and/or Patient Account Representatives; maintain provider schedules.
• Maintain accurate provider schedules in the computer system.
• Resolve complex billing issues.
• Assist with performance monitoring and evaluations, interviewing, hiring, discipline, and termination decisions.
• Oversee and complete various department-specific projects; perform supervisory functions to maintain daily operations.
• Provide leadership to staff and monitor daily workflow and production.
• Review contracted collection agencies for appropriate collections.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain daily staffing schedules for appropriate unit coverage.
• Monitor time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies for payroll.
