Job summary

University of California - San Diego Medical Centers is seeking an attentive Security Agent to provide protective services for UCSD Health Sciences locations, patients, visitors, and staff. You will patrol premises on foot or by vehicle, manage disruptive individuals, and respond to alarms while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.

Under supervision you will observe hazards, report findings, and direct campus operations as needed.

Qualifications

• California Guard Registration required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Two years of security or security-related experience (or equivalent education/experience).
• BART and IAHSS certification within six months of hire.
• Ability to adhere to dress code and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide protective services to assigned locations, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Patrol UCSD Health Sciences premises on foot or by vehicle.
• Manage disruptive persons with minimal use of force; control access to restricted areas; respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Observe and report safety hazards and give direction to UCSD Enterprise clientele.
• Perform related duties as needed.
