Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months experience in UCSD Health Security or equivalent leadership experience in healthcare/law enforcement.
• Valid California driver’s license with driving record compliant with local policies.
• California Guard Registration.
• Current BART & IAHSS advanced certification prior to HA3 appointment.
• No disciplinary or attendance issues in last 2 years.
• Within 6 months of appointment, complete 40 hours SOC training and pass UCSD SOC competency exam with 80%+.

Responsibilities

• Provide protective services to patients, visitors, staff, and locations.
• Patrol UCSD Health Sciences premises on foot or by vehicle.
• Respond to alarms and incidents; manage access to restricted areas; provide scene command in emergencies.
• Train new Security Agents and assist in security training programs.
