Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Security Agent for East Campus to provide protective services, patrol facilities, and safeguard patients, staff, and visitors. The role will require professional conduct, adherence to dress code, and confidentiality.

Position is a 100% appointment (Career) with days 8-hour shifts. The incumbent must obtain California Guard Registration, a valid driver's license, and certifications such as BART/IAHSS within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• California Guard Registration is required.
• Must hold valid driver's license and comply with related policies.
• Two (2) years of security or security-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• BART and IAHSS certified within six (6) months of hire date.
• Ability to adhere to dress code at all times.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Provide protective services to assigned locations, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Patrol UC San Diego Health Sciences premises on foot or in a vehicle to protect life and property.
• Manage disruptive persons with minimum use of force and control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to fire/security alarm activations and assume scene command in emergencies.
