Job summary

Qualifications

• California Guard Registration is required.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record per policy.
• Two years of security or security-related experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• BART and IAHSS certification within six months of hire date.
• Skills, knowledge and ability to perform duties as required.
• Ability to adhere to dress code at all times.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide protective services to assigned locations, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Patrol UCSD Health Sciences premises on foot or in a vehicle to protect life and property.
• Manage disruptive persons with minimum use of force and control access to restricted areas.
• Respond to fire/security alarm activations and assume scene command in emergencies.
• Observe and report safety hazards and assist UCSD Enterprise clientele.
