Aurora Sinai Medical Center is hiring a Security Officer to provide patient‑centered security services at our Milwaukee campus. You will conduct patrols, respond to emergencies, and support staff, patients, and visitors with a service‑oriented approach.

Ideal candidates have a nursing‑friendly, calm demeanor, strong ethical standards, and at least one year in security or related public safety. The role includes overnight shifts on site with strict safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in security, public safety, or customer service with exposure to emergent situations.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and resolve issues affecting patients, visitors, teammates, or property.

Responsabilités

• Provide security services with a customer-service approach, upholding professionalism, fairness, and compassion.
• Inspire confidence through a professional appearance, demeanor, and ethical conduct; adhere to safety rules and maintain equipment.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols, identify hazards, manage valuables, perform searches, and assist with directions and support as needed.
• Prevent and respond to workplace violence; handle combative or threatening individuals and incidents on site.
• De-escalate situations and use force only as necessary, including CEW or restraints per training.
• Plan, respond to emergencies (infants missing, fires, active threats) and intervene when needed to prevent harm.
