Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee seeks a Security Officer to provide patient- and visitor-focused security services across the facility. You will patrol, respond to incidents, de-escalate conflicts, and protect people and property while upholding policies and training.

You will collaborate with medical staff and external law enforcement, complete timely reports, and participate in ongoing safety training to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 1 year of experience in a security, public safety, or customer service role.
• Experience in responding to emergent situations and addressing risks to patients, visitors, teammates and property.
• Must comply with safety policies, procedures, and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services with a customer-service approach.
• Maintain professional appearance and enforce safety rules and regulations.
• Perform interior and exterior patrols to identify hazards and ensure safety.
• De-escalate conflicts and respond to emergencies or crisis situations.
• Investigate incidents and complete timely, accurate reports; liaise with leadership.
• Coordinate with federal, state, and local law enforcement and first responders as needed.
• Deliver security awareness education and conduct rounds to foster partnerships.
