Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed to perform hospital-based patrols and monitor access, CCTV, and alarms. This role requires de-escalation, reporting, and collaboration with hospital staff to maintain a safe environment.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or equivalent, is at least 18, has a valid driver's license, and can communicate effectively with the public. Drug screening and TB testing may be required in accordance with law and facility policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable employment history relating to customer service or protective services.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to operate radio/telephone equipment and console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Problem solving and active listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document observations and safety concerns.
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain as necessary per policy.
• Transport patients to the morgue, when required.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency department as needed.
• Assist with evacuations during emergencies.
• Sound alarms or call authorities in case of fire or unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances/exits to ensure only authorized individuals enter.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property.
• Investigate accidents and incidents; maintain logs and reports.
