Job summary

Valley Children's Healthcare seeks a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for staff, patients, visitors and vendors. You will respond to incidents, perform health screenings at entry points and monitor surveillance to protect hospital property and assets.

The role requires a high school diploma, California BSIS Guard Card and BLS certifications, and a valid California driver's license. Prior security experience in healthcare is preferred, with a 100% FTE schedule and 40 hours a week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• BSIS Guard Card and BLS certifications required.
• California Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum 6 months in security; 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, visitors and contractors on VCH property.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, applying de-escalation techniques and use of force policy as needed.
• Complete visitor health screening and identification upon hospital entry.
• Operate video surveillance and relay information to support security operations.
