Valley Children's Healthcare seeks a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors at our pediatric hospital. You will perform health screenings, assist with visitor management, and respond to emergencies while applying deescalation techniques as needed.

The role requires communication, discretion, and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare setting, including adherence to privacy rules and safety protocols. Evening shifts and full-time hours are available.

Qualifikationen

• Availability to work any assigned shift.
• Must read/write legibly and follow English instructions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to communicate with security peers, hospital staff, patients, visitors and law enforcement.
• Able to work collaboratively with a team and exercise sound judgment.

Aufgaben

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, physicians, patients, visitors, and contractors/vendors on VCH property.
• Prepare for emergencies and respond to incidents following the use of force policy and deescalation techniques.
• Complete visitor identification and health screening upon hospital entry.
• Provide relief dispatch coverage and operate video surveillance equipment.
