Job summary

HSS, a Tarian company, seeks a Healthcare Security Officer to protect hospital staff, patients and visitors across California, providing a visible deterrent to illicit activity and supporting clinical teams in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, must obtain a CA guard card, pass a background check and drug screen, and be able to stand, walk and lift up to 80 lbs. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required for this position upon conditional offer.
• Completed High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications.
• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire shift, lift up to 80 lbs., and assist restrain a person.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).

Responsibilities

• Maintain security and safety of the hospital, staff, patients and visitors; serve as a deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
