Job summary

AZ General Hospital Laveen in Phoenix is seeking a Security Officer to help keep a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will patrol the premises, manage visitor access, and observe and report incidents across the hospital and healthcare settings.

You will respond rapidly to security emergencies, enforce regulations at request of medical staff, and document events with clear incident reports while adhering to HIPAA and hospital protocols.

Qualifications

• Proactive security measures and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare security is preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls for assistance and incidents quickly to protect staff, patients, and visitors.
• Patrol facilities, monitor alarms, and dispatch officers to locations as needed.
• Know emergency procedures, report HIPAA breaches, investigate incidents, and write reports.
• Log daily activities with clear, concise incident reports.
