Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's AZ General Hospital Laveen is seeking a Security Officer to help keep patients, staff, and visitors safe by patrolling the campus, monitoring access, and responding to security incidents.

You will follow established procedures, document events in daily logs, and coordinate with hospital leadership to ensure rapid, appropriate responses to emergencies, while upholding the organization's core values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of security officer experience in healthcare or related field; or one year in healthcare security.
• BLS (American Heart Association) card within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls for assistance promptly and prudently.
• Patrol the facility and grounds; monitor alarms and dispatch officers as needed.
• Know emergency procedures; document HIPAA breaches when witnessed; investigate and write reports.
• Log activities daily with clear, concise incident reports and use correct codes.
