Job summary

Tufts Medicine's Melrose/Wakefield Hospital is seeking an Associate Safety professional to support day-to-day protection of hospital assets and safety of patients, visitors, and staff. You will perform patrols, respond to incidents, escort individuals, and help maintain secure access across campus.

Under supervision, you’ll focus on preventing hazards, addressing security concerns, and documenting events per policy. This is a hands-on, entry-level role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state issued driver's license.
• IAHSS Basic certification within 1 year of hire.
• Associates degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
• Experience in military, security, or police preferred.
• CPR/AED/Stop the Bleed certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic public safety and security duties including internal/external patrols of facilities and grounds.
• Respond to routine and emergency calls for service and document incidents.
• Escort patients, visitors, staff and others per procedures.
• Identify safety hazards and report deficiencies to supervisor for follow-up.
• Ensure ID badges are properly worn and access is restricted to authorized personnel.
