RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a part-time Security Officer for RWJUH Hamilton Hospital in New Jersey. This hourly position supports a safe and welcoming healthcare environment.

The role includes indoor/outdoor patrols, monitoring entrances, access control, weapon screenings, emergency response, incident reporting, and clear communication with patients, visitors, staff, and responders to maintain safety and calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NJ Driver's License with eligibility for SORA license.
• 1 year of customer service or security experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain de-escalation certification within 90 days of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• patrolling the facility indoors and outdoors to maintain safety.
• Monitor entrances and access control systems and address security concerns.
• Provide professional customer service to patients, visitors, physicians and staff while enforcing policies.
• Perform weapon screenings and control access to designated areas.
• Respond to emergencies and assist in crisis de-escalation.
• Complete incident reports and data entry using computer systems and MS Office.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and emergency personnel.
• PATROL perimeter with company vehicle.
