Job summary

Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Scheduler/Staffing Coordinator to join our healthcare team. You will oversee the nursing department's schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage while collaborating with facility leadership to balance staffing and census needs.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling Excellence: Manage and maintain the nursing department schedule to ensure adequate coverage 24/7.
• Communication Hub: Act as the primary point of contact for employee calls regarding staffing, scheduling functions, and position availability.
• Compliance & Records: Complete nursing department employee records timely upon hire, reclassification, or discharge.
• Employee Support: Assist staff with the accurate completion of leave requests, day-off forms, and time cards.
• Collaboration: Partner with the Human Resources Director and Director of Nursing (DNS) to manage modified work duty schedules in accordance with restrictions and facility policy.
• Tracking: Maintain current contact listings for all resident care employees and track daily attendance, including tardiness and absenteeism calendars.
• Recruitment Support: Field applicant inquiries and coordinate interviews as needed.
