Job summary

The CORE Institute | HOPCo is seeking a Healthcare Scheduling Specialist to manage clinic appointments, including consultations and follow-ups, using the EMR system and scheduling tools. You will collect demographics, insurance details, and medical information, and verify eligibility at scheduling.

You’ll import referral documents into patient charts and manage inquiries, while upholding HIPAA and confidentiality in a busy Phoenix, AZ setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the healthcare field.
• Previous call center experience preferred.
• Strong data entry and computer skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance plans.

Responsibilities

• Schedule clinic appointments, including consultations and follow-ups, using EMR and scheduling tools.
• Collect demographics, insurance information, and medical information.
• Verify insurance eligibility at the time of scheduling.
• Import referrals and documents into patient charts.
• Answer calls and resolve requests promptly.
• Coordinate with supervisors/leads about patient concerns.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and protect health records.
