Job summary

Palisade Healthcare Center in Garretson, SD is seeking an HR/Scheduling Coordinator to create, maintain and manage nursing staff schedules and provide HR administrative support. You will develop schedules at least two weeks in advance, adjust for census changes, communicate changes to staff, track attendance, and ensure PBJ compliance along with federal and state regulations.

Ideal candidates have healthcare staffing or HR experience, a high school diploma, and familiarity with onboarding,

Qualifications

• Previous healthcare staffing, scheduling, or human resources experience, preferably in a nursing home setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and post nursing staff schedules at least 2 weeks in advance.
• Adjust schedules based on staffing needs, census fluctuations, call-ins, new admissions and employee availability.
• Communicate schedules, shift changes, and time-off approvals to staff in a timely manner.
• Address scheduling conflicts or issues as they arise.
• Track attendance and maintain accurate staffing records.
• Ensure staffing compliance with federal and state regulations and PBJ requirements.
• Process onboarding paperwork and assist with orientation coordination.
