Job summary

Illinois CancerCare in Washington is seeking a highly organized Treatment Scheduler to coordinate follow-up appointments, scans, and treatments while supporting billing and patient communication.

You will work closely with providers and care teams to ensure accurate, timely scheduling and a smooth patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires strong attention to detail, HIPAA compliance, and willingness to travel to satellite clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Schedule follow-up visits, labs, imaging and treatments.
• Coordinate with outside facilities for patient care.
• Communicate appointment details to patients.
• Collect co-pays and enter billing information into the EMR.
• Manage provider schedules and calendars; update consults and on-call rotas.
• Reschedule missed appointments and confirm changes with patients.
• Follow up on outstanding orders, referrals, and follow-ups.
• Respond to patient messages and voicemails promptly.
• Support new patient scheduling and cross-cover for front desk roles.
• Travel to satellite clinics as required.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and CancerCare policies.
