Job summary

Highmark Health is offering a Summer 2027 Reimbursement Analyst Undergraduate Internship to gain practical experience across data operations, reimbursement processes, and business analysis within the PPRO team. Interns will help design, develop, maintain, and document master data infrastructure while collaborating with SMEs, data professionals, and leaders.

The program provides hands‑on training, exposure to healthcare data management, process improvement, and reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

• Full or part‑time enrollment in an accredited college or university bachelor’s program.
• Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, MIS, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and internal/external stakeholders to plan assignments and resolve day‑to‑day problems.
• Under supervision, provide entry‑level professional services aligned with day‑to‑day operating objectives; receive guidance and mentoring.
• Participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise.
• Assist in planning and implementing unit projects and initiatives in your area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting including recommendations or proposals for action when requested by management.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs to meet specific unit objectives.
• Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
