Job summary

Highmark Inc. seeks a Summer 2027 Reimbursement Analyst Undergraduate Intern to support data operations, reimbursement processes, and business analysis within the PPRO team.

You will assist with master data management, analytics, and documentation across multiple systems while gaining hands-on experience in healthcare reimbursement operations. Responsibilities include data research, reporting, process mapping, and contributing to projects and initiatives that drive operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, MIS, Healthcare Administration, Computer Information Technology, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clientele, and/or other internal or external constituencies in the planning of assignments and the resolution of day-to-day operational problems.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services related to day-to-day operating objectives; receive guidance and mentoring from senior personnel.
• Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs to develop professional skills and expertise.
• Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or proposals for action as requested by management.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs aligned with operating unit objectives.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
