Carilion Clinic is seeking a Referral Coordinator to manage scheduling, referral authorizations, and medical record maintenance for a busy clinic. The role supports care coordination across screening, diagnostic, and therapeutic services while upholding confidentiality and professional communication.

You will verify insurance and eligibility, enter accurate demographic data, and serve as a resource for patients and staff.

Competenze

• Associate degree required or 2 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Virginia MLTSS (UAI) Certification required upon completion of orientation and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills required.

• Schedule referrals, authorizations, and related appointments.
• Maintain medical records and ensure accuracy of scheduling and reporting functions.
