Southern West Virginia Health System is seeking a compassionate Referral Clerk to coordinate patient referrals, support both patients and providers, and ensure accurate and efficient processing of referrals across regional offices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with healthcare admin experience preferred, EMR familiarity, and insurance authorization knowledge. Flexible location, with assignments to Hamlin, South Charleston, Madison, Oceana, or Whitesville offices.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years healthcare administrative experience in the past three years preferred.
• Experience in referral coordination or patient navigation preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and general computer proficiency required.
• Experience with insurance companies and authorization processes preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate all service referrals for SWVHS patients and ensure timely processing.
• Manage documentation within the EMR and act as primary liaison between patients, providers and outside specialists.
• Assist patients with scheduling, insurance authorizations, and community services.
• Support patients in navigating the healthcare system and coordinating referrals.
