Job summary

Maric Healthcare, LLC seeks a proactive RCM Billing and Collections Supervisor to oversee daily billing and accounts receivable operations, lead the AR team, monitor productivity, and ensure timely claims submission and follow-up.

The role partners with RCM leadership to identify denial trends, implement corrective actions, and maintain accurate AR inventories while coaching staff for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management or AR.
• Experience supervising a billing/AR team.
• Strong knowledge of billing, submissions, rejections, denials, eligibility and appeals.
• Proficient with Excel and payer portals.
• Experience with multi-state billing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and provide daily direction to billing and AR team members.
• Monitor employee productivity, quality, accuracy, and adherence to established workflows.
• Conduct routine account audits and provide coaching or corrective feedback when needed.
• Monitor AR aging, including high-dollar, 90+ day, and stagnant/no-touch accounts.
• Ensure timely follow-up on unpaid claims, rejections, denials, corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals.
• Identify trends involving denials, rejections, coding, eligibility, authorization, COB, payer processing, billing configuration, and reimbursement.
• Quantify trends by claim volume, dollar impact, payer, location, and issue type.
• Determine root causes and elevate systemic issues to relevant departments.
• Track identified trends through resolution and confirm corrective action has prevented recurrence.
• Maintain team workloads and adjust priorities based on AR aging, payer issues, financial impact, and operational needs.
• Provide leadership with regular updates regarding AR performance, collections, billing issues, denial trends, productivity, and operational risks.
• Support employee training, workflow development, and continuous process improvement.
