Job summary

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded behavioral health organization serving southeastern and Central Ohio. The Quality Specialist will develop, implement, and evaluate quality initiatives, collaborating with clinical, operational, and administrative staff to improve performance metrics and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes data analysis, audits, PDSA cycles, and dashboards to drive improvement and ensure CARF/Medicaid/Medicare standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, psychology, social work, nursing, or related field required.
• Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, social work, or related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare or behavioral health quality improvement setting required.
• Experience with quality improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA) required.
• Experience using electronic health records (EHRs) and quality reporting tools required.
• Experience with regulatory/accreditation requirements (CARF, Medicaid, Medicare, HIPAA, etc.) required.
• 2 years of experience in data analysis platforms required.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams required.
• Proficiency operating in an Internet-based, automated office environment required.
• Knowledge of behavioral health service delivery systems and payers preferred.
• Healthcare quality certification (e.g., CPHQ, Lean Six Sigma) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and report data related to quality indicators, outcome measures, and client satisfaction surveys.
• Assist in preparation of internal and external audits, including document review, chart audits, and regulatory surveys.
• Support compliance with accreditation and licensing standards (CARF, Medicaid, Medicare, HIPAA, etc.).
• Lead quality improvement projects, including PDSA cycles and root cause analyses.
• Implement quality improvement efforts in OhioRISE program, ensuring policy and contract compliance.
• Monitor and track corrective action plans and follow-up on improvements.
• Develop and update quality-related policies, procedures, training materials, and tools.
• Coordinate quality committee meetings, agendas, minutes, and follow-ups.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations for internal reporting on quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure documentation and service delivery meet payer and regulatory requirements.
