Job summary

Children’s Wisconsin is seeking a Public Safety Associate on a part-time (.5 FTE) first shift to support public safety operations at the Milwaukee campus. The role includes badge access, visitor guidance, weapon screening, and responding to emergencies to keep patients and families safe.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year in customer service; healthcare security experience is preferred. BLS certification required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED/HSED required; coursework in criminal justice preferred.
• Experience in customer service required (1+ year).
• Uniformed security experience in healthcare or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests at Welcome Center; verify visitation credentials and direct to destinations.
• Perform weapon screening to prevent prohibited items from entering facilities; coordinate with security.
• Maintain safety and order during emergencies; follow CW policies and procedures.
