Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to guide physicians and APPs through a comprehensive onboarding process, coordinating orientation, credentialing, and system access. You will influence policy and template development while serving as a subject matter expert and liaison across executive leadership and clinical services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting with increased levels of responsibility; strong emphasis on detail and organizational skills.
• Strong project management experience with ability to communicate effectively with high-level contacts.
• Knowledge or experience related to medical specialties, medical education, physicians and/or APPs preferred.
• 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as expert on onboarding policies for Beth Israel Lahey Health Physicians, APPs, and clinical leadership.
• Be the primary contact for physician/provider onboarding issues and liaison during onboarding.
• Perform regular check-ins with new members to guide them through the process and timelines.
• Coordinate onboarding tasks across departments and create itineraries for new providers.
• Develop and update a centralized onboarding process to improve communication and efficiency.
• Meet with providers at home sites to obtain documentation for onboarding.
• Manage provider onboarding templates and materials and ensure standardization and compliance.
• Identify and propose new policy or program initiatives to enhance onboarding effectiveness.
• Educate staff on onboarding processes to ensure consistent application across departments.
