Job summary

Perkins & Will in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Project Manager for healthcare design to lead projects from scope through delivery. You will coordinate client communication, manage budgets, schedules using Deltek, and collaborate with Project Architects while mentoring staff to uphold design excellence.

The role requires 8–10+ years of healthcare design experience, a Bachelor's degree in architecture, and professional licensure or LEED credentials.

Qualifications

• Understands and executes all aspects of the design process and project complexities to contribute to success while meeting goals and standards.
• Full responsibility for managing all aspects of projects to ensure efficient execution within scope and budget.
• Manages project teams, fosters collaboration, communicates effectively, and inspires high performance.
• Develops and validates project scope, fee, budget and services during marketing and contracts.
• Provides complete and timely communication of project information to clients and project team.
• Uses Deltek for project planning: work plans, budget, consultants, schedule, fees, and change notices.
• Works with Project Architect to avoid schedule conflicts due to project changes.
• Provides ongoing communication through meetings, minutes, and memos.
• Communicates with clients, consultants, contractors and sub-consultants for effective coordination.
• Monitors construction administration during the construction phase.
• Understands and responds to technical implications and design decisions.
• Participates in marketing opportunities and develops client relationships.
• Considers risk management to minimize liability.
• Reviews work for accuracy and document compliance.
• Coordinates staffing resources with Operations Director.
• Mentors staff.

Responsibilities

• BIM and 2D/3D production proficiency and site analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of Revit and construction documentation.
• Develop and manage contract documents and specifications.
• Coordinate project kickoff, budgets, fees, and closeout.
• Lead project teams and ensure on-time delivery within scope.
• Maintain client communication and project team updates.
