Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin, Dell Medical School, invites applications for a Program Manager, Hospital Planning and Operations on the UT Main Campus. This exempt, 40-hour per week role drives planning, execution, and oversight of cross‑functional healthcare programs.

You will coordinate with clinical and administrative leaders, finance, IT, and external partners to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery; monitor milestones, develop reports, and manage risks.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years in program or project management in healthcare or complex settings.
• Preferred: MBA/MPA with 7+ years managing cross‑functional programs in healthcare or the public sector.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or process improvement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads Program Planning and Execution: develops program plans, defines scope, milestones and success metrics.
• Manages Stakeholder Engagement, Communication, and Reporting: builds relationships and delivers updates.
• Oversees Budget and Resource Allocation: manages budgets and coordinates resources.
• Ensures Program Compliance and Risk Management: identifies risks and maintains audits.
• Supports Organizational Strategy and Innovation: aligns programs with strategic goals and drives improvements.
• Other duties as identified by department.
