Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a Senior Technical Project Manager who will lead complex cross-functional technology projects across the Dell Medical School IT portfolio in Austin.

Reporting to the IT PMO director, you will partner with IT architects, clinical informatics, cybersecurity, and operations to deliver on-time, on-budget projects aligned with regulatory and patient care priorities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field with at least 5 years of experience managing technical projects in healthcare or enterprise IT.
Experience with EHR systems, cloud platforms, or enterprise applications.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
Master's degree preferred in Health Informatics, PM, or related field with 7+ years of healthcare IT project management experience.

Responsibilities

Leads full technical project lifecycle from initiation through implementation.
Coordinates with IT architects, clinical informatics, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to gather requirements.
Manages budgets, resources, and vendor deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Ensures regulatory, cybersecurity, interoperability, and data governance standards are met.
Mentors and supports junior project managers and analysts, promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
