Job summary

MultiCare Health System seeks a Process Improvement Prog Mgr to lead facility or CBU level initiatives, improving efficiency, quality, patient safety and outcomes. You will educate, coach, and mentor staff in process improvement while designing scalable strategies and guiding data-driven decisions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, credentials in process improvement, and at least three years of related experience, including leadership and coaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Certification in process improvement, quality, or patient safety (e.g., IHI Basic Cert, LSSBB).
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a professional or technical role in a healthcare or related setting, or a Master's in a healthcare related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years leading or coaching performance improvement.
• Internal candidates may be considered not meeting all minimum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Subject matter expert on process improvement methodologies and tools, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement throughout the enterprise.
• Assist with data analysis, benchmarking, analyzing business and clinical processes using data, interviewing, and observation to document workflows.
• Identify opportunities for optimizing workflows, enhancing efficiency, implementing safe and appropriate simplification strategies, reducing errors, eliminating obstacles, and achieving improved outcomes.
• Facilitate and coach teams in the use of the MHS process improvement methodology (ID-PDSA) using process improvement and project management skills to drive and track progress and impacts.
• Deliver training/curriculum, and coach MHS employees on process improvement principles, tools, simple project management, data analysis and visualization, daily management, standard work, and change management.
• Plan and implement scalable strategies facility or CBU wide. Assist with enterprise-wide scalable initiatives and strategies.
