Job summary

Westchester Medical Center is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to serve as an internal management consultant within the Operational Excellence Department. This role focuses on managing projects through the lifecycle, collaborating with leaders to implement recommendations, and delivering lasting improvements for patient care.

Responsibilities include leading transformative change, applying queuing theory and simulation, and developing dashboards to promote data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Healthcare Management, or other healthcare-related field with significant improvement science and transformation training and experience.
• Lean/Six Sigma Certification, or equivalent experience, preferred.
• Expertise with data analysis, visualization, and process mapping to support improvements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a change agent and transformation leader to transform operational processes using process engineering methodologies.
• Analyze current state operations, design future state processes, and establish metrics and milestones.
• Oversee data collection, analysis, and workflow diagrams and support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with organizational leaders to ensure high-quality patient services and efficient resource allocation.
• Facilitate teams to identify and implement solutions using improvement science principles.
• Develop information flow solutions and create performance analytics dashboards.
