Job summary

The Spine & Pain Center is seeking a highly organized Procedure Coordinator at our Tulsa, OK location. The role focuses on managing prior authorizations, scheduling procedures, and ensuring effective communication among providers, patients, insurers, and surgery centers.

This fast-paced, patient-focused position requires 2+ years in medical scheduling or healthcare administration, with preference for pain management or orthopedics exposure and EHR experience such as ModMed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical scheduling or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
• Pain management, orthopedics, surgery scheduling, or specialty care experience preferred.
• Experience with ModMed or other EHR systems preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Submit, track, and manage prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, medications, and specialty treatments.
• Coordinate outpatient procedures and surgery center scheduling.
• Verify insurance eligibility and authorization requirements.
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding approvals, denials, and appeals.
• Schedule new patient, follow-up, and post-procedure appointments.
• Provide patients with pre-procedure instructions and scheduling support.
• Coordinate with providers, medical assistants, front office staff, and billing teams.
• Maintain scheduling and authorization documentation within the EHR.
