• Maintain and manage physician schedules to optimize coordination between hospital and clinic procedures.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain required prior authorizations for surgical and in-office procedures.
• Identify and coordinate any specialized equipment, instrumentation, or personnel required for scheduled procedures.
• Obtain necessary medical clearances and required documentation prior to scheduled procedures.
• Assist with patient checkout processes and provide scheduling support to the front office team as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, provider offices, hospitals, surgical centers, and insurance carriers to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of scheduling activities, authorizations, and patient communications in the EMR system.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, colleagues, and external partners.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in HIPAA compliance.
