Job summary

Commonwealth Pain & Spine is seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist to manage all aspects of prior authorizations. You will collect necessary documentation, contact clients for information, and submit orders to payors accurately and timely.

Responsibilities include coordinating with insurance companies, patients, and sales staff, maintaining payer documentation, and monitoring changes in the health insurance arena. Two years of related experience and HS diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain pre-certifications, authorizations and referrals required for services
• Collaborate with departments and insurers to ensure timely submissions
• Ensure documentation meets payer requirements and is filed in medical records
• Monitor changes in insurance policies and communicate updates
• Submit follow-ups, denials, and referrals; assist with peer reviews as needed
