UC Irvine Health is seeking a dedicated Authorization Specialist to join our team on the Orange County campus. You will manage outpatient authorizations, verify insurance, and document statuses in Epic to ensure care continuity.

Candidates should have 3–5 years with insurance carriers, experience in Epic, and knowledge of payer guidelines. Knowledge of Medicare/Medi-Cal is a plus. We offer comprehensive benefits and an hourly wage competitive with the market.

Formación

• 3–5 years of experience with insurance carriers on authorizations or verifications.
• Experience using Epic or a comparable EHR and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, payer guidelines and insurance plans.

Responsabilidades

• Submit prior authorization requests for outpatient services, tests, procedures and medications.
• Track and document authorization statuses in Epic to ensure continuity of care.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits per payer guidelines.
• Process high-volume workloads (30+ daily) with fast turnaround for routine/STAT requests.
