Qualifications

• Minimum one year recent experience registering patients in a hospital or clinic.
• General knowledge of ICD9 and CPT codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated ability to travel to off-site physician practices.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Obtain required authorizations in accordance with established guidelines.
• Verify eligibility and obtain benefit information.
• Generate authorization letters for providers and patients.
• Respond to Member Services and Call Center inquiries and resolve authorization issues.
• Maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
