Accela Healthcare, a well-established long-term care provider in New Jersey, seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist to join the corporate team. You will own the full payroll cycle for staff across multiple facilities, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience required (2+ years preferred).
• Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or multi-site payroll strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wage and hour laws in New Jersey.
• Working knowledge of payroll systems, preferably Empeon (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Kronos, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll for multi-site long-term care staff in compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, including deductions, garnishments, benefits, and wage adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
• Assist employees with payroll-related questions and resolve discrepancies with professionalism.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accuracy in reporting and data integrity.
• Generate payroll reports as needed for audits, management review, and compliance.
