Job summary

Health Monitor Network is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Manager to own end-to-end payroll operations, including multi-state processing and expense management with Ramp. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls.

The position is hybrid, requiring three on-site days per week at the Montvale, NJ headquarters and up to two days remotely. CPP is preferred but not required; 5+ years of payroll experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience including multi-state processing.
• CPP designation preferred, not required.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems (ADP, Paylocity, Workday, UKG).
• Advanced Excel skills (SUMIF/SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
• Familiarity with federal and state payroll tax regulations and wage laws.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end multi-state payroll accurately and on time.
• Administer and audit timekeeping system; review timesheets before pay cycles.
• Maintain payroll records, including hires, terminations, changes, and garnishments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Collaborate with HR and vendors; resolve discrepancies and issues.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and accruals.
• Support internal and external audits with payroll reports.
