AdventHealth in Maitland, Florida, is seeking a full-time scheduling specialist to build relationships with patients and staff through telephone and Microsoft Teams. You will meet performance metrics, train in complex scheduling processes, and accurately schedule medical visits and procedures.

The role requires handling patient data, coordinating with departments, and registering new patients while ensuring compliance with laws and internal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proficient with computer programs: Email, PowerPoint, Excel, Word. [Required]
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills by effectively communicating with all levels. [Required]
• Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail. [Required]
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data. [Required]
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment. [Required]
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. [Required]
• Knowledge of EHR systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of TJ C requirements and local, state, and federal regulations is required.
• Call center/telephonic experience for inbound/outbound calls is required.

Responsibilities

• Builds relationships with patients, consumers, and co-workers via telephone or Microsoft Teams.
• Meets daily, weekly, and monthly qualitative and quantitative performance metrics.
• Trains effectively in multiple and complex scheduling processes.
• Accurately schedules patients for medical office visits and hospital procedures.
• Transfers callers to appropriate departments or locations as needed.
• Registers new patients by inputting demographic and insurance information.
