Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center's Division of Clinical Pathology is seeking a Project Manager I to plan, manage, and execute multiple complex projects in pathology and related clinical initiatives.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Pathology Operations, you will develop project plans, timelines, and milestones, coordinate site-based activities, and work with leadership to implement new workflows and systems that improve service delivery across 40+ sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Business, or Communications required.
• 1–3 years project management or analyst experience.
• PM certification (PMP) or CAPM preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Visio a plus.
• Understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
• Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, or Scrum.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with departmental leadership to align with vision and goals.
• Prepare project work plans and timelines for initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership in transforming processes, new workflows and systems.
• Develop technical expertise in all aspects of project development.
• Perform data reporting and other office-based functions.
• Prepare agendas for facilities department and site-based meetings.
