Job summary

The State of Colorado is seeking an Administrative Supervisor to oversee medical, dental, mental health and rehabilitation services at the Sterling Correctional Facility. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, ensure compliance with laws and licensing, and manage budgets and resources in a high-security environment.

Applicants should have nine years of clinical or healthcare management experience and a combination of education in Nursing or Health Administration.

Qualifications

• Nine years of professional experience providing direct patient care or managing patient care in a clinic that provided medical services.
• Combination of education in Nursing or Healthcare Administration AND professional experience in a clinical setting equal to nine years.
• Attach transcripts showing degree and institution.

Responsibilities

• Ensures operational and administrative compliance with laws, rules, regulations, standards, state licensing/credentialing, etc.
• Preserve offenders' right to mandated healthcare by ensuring appropriate utilization of resources and personnel.
• Establishes systems for coordination of care among multi-disciplinary health care providers.
• Protects the general public and ensures safety of staff and offender rights to healthcare services.
• Provides fiscal and budgetary oversight including purchase requisitions and on-call remuneration.
• Supervises staff through performance plans, reviews, and evaluations; resolves grievances informally.
• Ensures compliance with offender grievance process, co-pay, and information systems requirements.
• Serves as single point of contact for inquiries from Regional HSA, DOC Public Info Officer, attorneys, and others.
• Notifies leadership of medical sentinel events, incidents, and health outbreaks.
• Directs subpoenas to Medical Records Administrator within time-frames.
• Develops and implements quality management programs in line with policy.
