Job summary

Colorado Department of Corrections in Sterling, CO seeks an Administrative Supervisor to oversee multi-disciplinary clinical services and ensure compliant operations within the facility.

You will direct staff, coordinate care, manage budgets and resources, and act as liaison with regional and public information offices to support safe, effective healthcare for offenders. A nursing/healthcare leadership background is preferred for guiding clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Nine years of professional experience providing direct patient care or managing patient care in a clinic that provided medical services.
• Combination of education from an accredited institution in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Healthcare Management, Health Management and Policy, Health Services Administration, or Hospital Administration AND professional experience equal to nine years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational and administrative compliance with laws, rules, regulations, standards, and licensing affecting medical, dental, mental health, and rehabilitation services.
• Preserve offenders’ right to healthcare by appropriate and cost-effective utilization of resources and personnel.
• Establish systems for care coordination among multi-disciplinary providers.
• Provide fiscal and budgetary oversight including purchases and on-call remuneration.
• Supervise and mentor staff with performance plans and evaluations.
